Free 7-Eleven Slurpee Day! |

As all major living things do, 7-Eleven too, celebrates its birth once a year, every year ... on July 11th.
And they (participating retailers) kindly do so with 7.11 oz cups of free slurpee - an initiative that in 2004 spawned this video below; a trip to all 57 7-Eleven establishments in our hometown area of Nassau County, NY. (Surely, this was a time before outrageous gas prices!)

2003
Contrary to popular lore, our celebration of Free 7-Eleven Slurpee Day actually began in 2003 with Bryan, myself, and Eric. The moon was already high, but we set out into the dark night anyway, knowing we'd have to expand our operation to better prepare for the following year.

Dan and Paul joined for 2004's epic trip of 5 guys with just 10 free hours on one fateful Sunday morning ... and through the afternoon and evening.
And a really long, not un-embarrassing video. |
And on
Throughout the ensuing years, Ryne was a temporary somewhere in there and Ken always traveled with us in spirit (as his US Naval Academy duties kept him away during the summer fortnight). In 2006, Matt joined for what was an insurmountable "good time" and perhaps the last of the group's trips.
